Lost connection

It seems every time I take my Karma Drone for a flight, after a few minutes the controller displays a weak signal and at time a lost connection; even when flying overhead. I have never been able to fly farther than around 1,200'. Is this something Gopro has addressed and are others experiencing the same problem?
Just so you know:

• The batteries are always fully charged
• Happens even in open fields with no electrical interference
• Yes it has always came home but it's very nerve-racking

Yes. Please read through other posts regarding flight connection issues. If something completely different happens to you (something new no one has complained about) please let us know what those differences are.
We all have had connection issues from GPS or interference, so we have been trying to collect these problems and sort out what-why-where data on our own since GP is only doing customer satisfaction pacification or claiming user error faults.
We want problem solving, not just an replacement with the same problem.
Take a test and fail, but not be told what you failed on so you can study is quite annoying and mean.
Karma is like going through a video game campaign. Harder as you go, side missions, and final bosses. Ugh.
