If your drone isn’t starting up properly the pairing issue not self repairable at this time.
if your drone starts properly the gimble or stabilizer will initiate.
I doubt doing anything to the controller will help.
As I see it the problem now lies in the drone itself.

The drone is no longer powering up properly.
if you look at your available wifi connections I’m going to guess that the drone does not show in the list. I’m new to this problem but I do know that there is no way to update the drone through the controller without its wifi connected.
I’m going to guess that your drone wifi doesn’t show up in the list on the controller.
Without this connection you cannot update the drone itself so updating the controller is not going to help.
