Really? The comparable Phantom 4 Pro is the one that comes with a screen in the controller, that's $1800. If you want a handheld stabilizer for ground shots that's another $570 for osmo. Would you really pay $1270 more than the Karma to have collision sensors and follow me?

I think I will, depending on how long it takes them. Getting the Hero 5 Black for free means I only need the $799 bundle next time instead of $1099.

"Mandatory update required before flight" shows up when you swipe up to begin. Going to updates shows a "Safety Update" After updating, the controller boots up to this, and only this: The party is over folks, nothing to see here, return to your homes.

Meanwhile in the one you recommend the guy is literally paid by DJI. ;)

Do the no-fly zones get added to the controller when downloading the maps? eg. if you never download a map, do you still have NFZ's?

That's interesting because GoPro claims max speed is reduced in orange zones, but 35mph is the max speed listed on the specs page.

Have you flown outside an orange zone too? If so, how noticeable is the reduction of speed in the orange zone compared to outside of one? Also, can you confirm that the GoPro NFZ is *exactly* the same as AirMap?

So they are using Airmap as a data source? That's pretty disappointing.

You're right of course, I was thinking about remote control of it, the Karma only tilts, while the osmo can be programmed to do a panorama remotely when it's on a tripod. I suppose the GoPro could add that in software later?

Just as a handheld/tripod gimbal, the osmo has more features, like 360 panorama. The GoPro stabilizer only moves up and down, not left to right.
