Rubber piece fell out of gimbal mount

Just got my Karma drone and have taken it for a few flights. I noticed that the locking mechanism on the gimbal mount was extremely hard to lock, but I didn't question it as a safety feature. Today after unlocking, a rubber piece fell out of the drone's mount. I'm guessing it's a padding that was at the top back to cushion the gimbal, and might've been slightly misplaced on my drone. It looks deformed from the times when I might've pushed too hard.

Does anyone know what this piece is, and if it is necessary for flight? I noticed the locking mechanism clicks very easily now but want to make sure it is still OK to fly without the rubber piece.

Hi there vdrone96

I have attached a pic of what the innards of my karma drone look like.

You can see where the rubber piece came from.

May be an easy repair if you have long forceps or something.

Hope this helps.

How old is your drone? You might be able to replace the stabilizer under warranty. I would speak with customer service to make sure.
