Welcome!

Practice with the simulator built into the controller, it really is a good learning tool!

This is a very easy drone to fly. It is also a VERY easy drone to crash. My advice is to start flying in a wide open field away from any interference (wi-fi, cell phones, metal objects, etc.) The farther away from densely populated areas the better. The object of your first few flights will not be to capture amazing footage, it will be to gain familiarity with the controls of your drone.

Other beginner tips:

DO NOT RELY ON RETURN TO HOME. Think of it as an "emergency option" you will be able to land more safely and accurately yourself. If you would like to test it, make sure that you are in a large open area, with no obstructions between your drone and the landing site. This includes ABOVE your drone as well. YOU can cancel RTH by clicking on the x on your controller screen. This is helpful if you ever lose connection to your drone (can happen unexpected) and it Automatically initiates RTH. Once it is back in range, you should take control. Don't assume the drone will successfully fly itself.

When landing... have the back of the drone facing you. This will make it easier to control your drone, and respond quickly if the unexpected happens.

Enjoy!
