Yesterday, december 26th, I flew my GoPro Karma as the temeperature was 10 degrees (Celsius) below zero. Today the temperature is -17. I think it is too cold for my Karma today. What are your experiences concerning low temperatures?

I could only imagine what those temperatures are like!
Great footage once again Knut.
It is 42c here today so watching your video is very cooling lol.

Not sure about low temps mate but I wont fly here if the temp is 38c or higher.

Do you think you have shorter flight time?

All the best for the festive season!

beautiful! i was wondering, does the cold have any effect on the flight time?

Thank you very myuch, Ironspear,.

I have noticed the extreme temperatures in Australia at the moment.

The battery was kept in indoor temperature until the the flight started just outside my home. Total flight time was about 10 minutes, and there was still 7-8 minutes capacity left in the battery when the drone landed. As always, the battery was pretty warm when I removed it from the drone after the flight. I guess flight time would be shorter if the battery had been colder when the flight started.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Thank you,

Concerning flight time, I have pasted my reply from the post above: The battery was kept in indoor temperature until the the flight started just outside my home. My Go Pro Hero 3+ was affected by 25 degree weather in that the camera stopped working. I don't know if it was battery related but I assume so.
