Controller power

I have recently got myself a karma but while practicing the controller has just switched itself off, when the battery status button is pressed nothing comes on. When put on charge a red light comes on for about 5 seconds then 3 or 4 lights and is good to switch on again.
Anybody had this or can help ?

It may be something GoPro Care has to handle.
