sent them log files and they replaced the drone and camera, which was also destroyed. Had to send them the parts which, fortunately, I was able to recover. I had no video of the drop. It seems all power just cut out so the camera blanked too. Hopefully, you can get them to replace.

Events like this are probably the real reason GoPro is exiting the drone market. Stock is way down today following the news on Friday. Flyaways and fall-from-sky is happening too often to be a fluke. Supposedly customer support remains but what they really need is software development and bug...

Your Phantom footage must be pretty good. I've done quite a bit of footage with the Karma and a Hero 5 set to 1080 @ 60fps and it is quite good and very stable. I use no image stabilization. Does the Phantom have a detachable camera? What resolution can you shoot at?

It's my understanding, and based on the conversations in the forum, only GoPro has access to the log data. My auto-land seems to function fine but I usually bring the drone back into close proximity where I'm going to land. I've landed my Karma several times directly in front of me...going to...

Crazy thing is that I'm flying the replacement drone in the same location I used to fly my old Karma. Never had issues with the old one in this particular area. I'll try a few more flights in a different area next weekend and see what comes of it. Thanks for the reply and suggestions.

Bought Karma in June and flew with NO issues until it dropped from the sky one day in early November while flying along the coast north of Cayucos. Opened case with GoPro and had drone, camera, and stabilizer replaced within 3 weeks. They determined no fault of mine and no environmental issues...
