Flying with no gimble or camera.

We can only begin to guess. Unfortunately only Gopro can read the flight logs and provide any specific feedback. One thing I have picked up from other forums is that you always want to fly on recently charged batteries. battery cells automatically discharge at uneven rates, so if you put a...

I got a cinematic aerial shot with Karma

Thanks for sharing! I'm currently doing a VR Bike Tour of Russia. I have VR Goggles, software, and a trainer attached to my bike that allows me to virtually ride my bike wherever Google Street View is available. I started on the far eastern side of Russia, and I am currently making my way...

My Karma won’t start! HELP! ?

Yeah...the only folks that I think will continue to fly in the future..will be those mechanically inclined individuals that salvage parts online.

    Had my first crash

Glad to hear it was only a minor crash. I have certainly had a few close calls with The Karma myself. Even a slightly uneven landing (or landing on a sidewalk crack) has caused the props to brush against the ground, and I eventually replaced all of them. I am currently flying the original...

Hero 8 Black - Will It Work In Karma?

The International Association of Antarctica Tour Operators (IAATO) apparently. If you go there on a tour, you can't fly a drone for recreational reasons. Sounds like there is a way to get a "permit" for scientific research.

Spontaneous mountain bike tour at the lake (FollowMe on Karma & Hero 6, 8)

Awesome! I've wanted to do something similar for a while...just never gotten around to it!

    How is karma in 2020

Gopro has a 360 camera called Gopro Max. They also released one a few years ago called the GoPro Fusion. Insta360 just released a camera (Insta360 One R) that has a MAVIC 2 moduale that will edit out the drone, and basically allow you to capture a 360 degree video or photo: The following video...

    How is karma in 2020

Nope...I filmed the whole thing. :) The 360 camera edits out the extension pole. Shorter poles disappear. I was using a very light 9 foot long telescoping pole made of carbon fiber...so it bends a bit. If you look carefully at the shots in the Hong Kong video (watch my hands) you can sometimes...

    Lubricating the motors

Motors wear out over time. Bad things can happen when they do. Hopefully yours remains okay! I baby my drone...keep it in a temperature controlled environment, I only land it on a landing pad, etc. I haven't needed to spray anything on it.

    How is karma in 2020

Here is is a short video I made entirely with the Hero 5 and Karma Grip (I also use the El Grande Extension Pole): There are a few examples of the type of shot I mentioned in this video: (0:10) Shot of flying squirrel: If you have your camera on an extension pole and just move the camera...

    How is karma in 2020

I still have and use my stabilizer. There are some shots you can take with it, that you cannot take with just a Hero 7 or 8. For example, "jib shots", are where you might start low and move to a higher point (or Vice versa), while keeping the camera level and stable. I used it, for...

    Range problems

The MAVIC Air 2 just came out...seems to be a great little drone for the price!

    Range problems

The short answer is no. I would not recommend Karma for this use. The Karma is very reactive to "Rebar" so...just taking off from a sidewalk is likely to give you a "compass error". Flying in the city near building could result in GPS loss while flying, which can make the drone VERY unstable and...

    Range problems

If you are trying to fly the Karma in an urban area...a range extender isn't going to help very much. It isn't a weak signal that is the problem, it is signal interference. Have you ever been on a telephone with "Crossed signals"? You can hear multiple conversations on the line at the same...
