Welcome back!! I ran into the same kind of situation after my first Karma went wild and I never saw it again. Then I crashed a 2nd one but was able to reuse most of it.
I now have 2 complete Drones and 3 controllers, 3 handheld stabilizers and 3 cases, LOL.
or just fly it a few times and it'll probably end up dismantling itself! But really, it's interesting to me to see all the engineering that went in to this drone. Thanks for sharing
Thanks Shon, I plan to take all the time necessary now to do all the preflight checks.
mjbok, my deal was a Bestbuy deal of the day thing...Karma w/ Hero 6, spare battery and set of props. $699. They still show it for that but without the extra battery and props.
There seems to be endless posts here of uncontrollable or runaway Karma's. Did you recover it?
Calibrating at every flight and ensuring a good GPS signal is important.
The scripted reply was that the drone did not have full GPS signal when I started to fly it and therefore didn't know it's position relative to the controller or space. Whatever, it obviously suffered interference of some sort and did whatever it wanted to, which was fly due north at 54 mph...
