    Wifi extender/repeater for Karma.

Hey JBee, super interesting theory! I've seen other people having issues where their distance indicator tells them they're quite far away from the drone when they're actually standing next to it. If you're flying normally under full control, that shouldn't change how the drone flies. However...

Runaway GoPro Karma drone goes 54MPH!!!!! (...then hits a tree)

Hi @McToddy - It's interesting that you could at one point cause the drone to 'look' in a different direction as it's an indicator that it hadn't completely lost its mind and was still receiving and responding to some of the controller commands. On most of the fly away incidents with the...

Manual Karma flight in the woods

Definitely brave! So, have you figured out a way to keep it in Manual mode, or were you just assuming that if you were under the trees, it wouldn't switch back to GPS mode once it detected satellites? My understanding was that it was always looking for GPS no matter how you launch it...

Runaway GoPro Karma drone goes 54MPH!!!!! (...then hits a tree)

One more detail - when you get your replacement drone, definitely set it on Sport mode asap - anything else is buggy at the best of times. Hamish

Runaway GoPro Karma drone goes 54MPH!!!!! (...then hits a tree)

Hi McToddy - just a quick note to say that even if the drone encountered interference - and you're right about the GPS red herring (receivers ≠ transmitters) - there's no reason it shouldn't be able to 1. only pay attention to the exact frequency it's connected to the Controller on, 2. even if...

    Bad range

Do you have it on easy mode (early software) or in non-sport mode (current software)? If so, there's a geofence that prevents it from flying beyond a very limited range. If you have those restraints off, your software is updated (do that no matter what as the recent update was a HUGE...

    Landing techniques...

Try landing the Karma on the flat of your hand held well overhead, ideally with the camera facing away from you. Someone suggested that on the GoPro forum, and I pretty much do that every time now, keeping the drone and camera out of the dust, grit, grass, sand, water, etc it would encounter if...

Vibration / Resonance on Karma drone footage.

When all drones descend, they have to fly through their own prop-wash - the air that's disturbed by their own propellers. One solution is to descend more slowly, another is to fly in one direction horizontally while descending, and the drone will then pass through 'clean' air and provide a more...

    It's Baaaaaack

On your drift question, I find the Karma does drift vertically sometimes and is quite stable at other times - presumably varying with GPS coverage. It's almost never an issue for me as I don't fly under a few meters very often other than take off and landing. My Ehang Ghostdrone drifts in much...

    It's Baaaaaack

In watching or reading such reviews, it's super important to separate the facts from the spin. Most of the ones I've seen or read pay excessive attention to features which may be inconsequential to most users. Hardcore fanboys preaching one faith or another should generally be ignored...
