    Go pro flyaway

Hey @Davis. Sorry to hear about the flyaway. Hopefully you recover the drone. To answer your question: not that I'm aware of. Many people have asked, including on the GoPro Karma community forum, but from what I can gather this information is available only to GoPro. Having said that...

    Afraid to fly...

For those of you considering purchasing a Karma, but holding out in case there are issues, my advice is this: just do it. I've owned a Karma since they've been available in Australia (April 2017), and I also owned a pre-recall model shipped (then returned) from the States. My experience has...

    New karma owner...

Interesting video, but not really helpful in diagnosing what happened. One minute it's flying well, then the next you've cut to the fall. I'd prefer to see an unedited video before, during and after the fall event. I think it would also be worth including the drone audio in this case - it's...

    Flying without GPS

I got a little brave yesterday, and thought I'd share my story. My family and I took a hike to the bottom of a waterfall. Of course I carried my Karma kit so I could film the trek with the grip, and also took the drone "just in case". When we reached the bottom, I thought it would make a...

Lost GPS signal on my Karma

Well, in a way it is, but I can't understand "GPS loss" issues. If he's flying at the extreme end of the range, the worst that should happen is that the connection is lost and it initiates RTH.

Latest Update is available! V2.0 with Follow me

I know in the past people have been suspicious of Karma firmware upgrades. Normally I'd hold off for a few days, but I'm taking my Karma on a family camping trip tomorrow and I really want the new Cable Cam features and the "above the horizon" camera angle. This afternoon I took my Karma out to...

Latest Update is available! V2.0 with Follow me

Mine has updated successfully, but it's now downloading everything a second time. Anyone else had that problem?

    GoPro karma fly off

I don't follow what has happened here. So can I assume that you were standing under a bridge, controlling a drone, and just prior to landing it "took control of itself"? Sounds like one of two things happened, both of which are pre-programmed return-to-home (RTH) procedures for the drone...

    Did i make a mistake?

That'd be a great plan if GPS could be manually disabled. At the moment, it cannot be disabled manually.

    Bad range

This isn't a GoPro forum, so they won't be monitoring (officially) or replying to us here.

Lost GPS signal on my Karma

Interesting tests. I wonder if the reason it didn't bother "returning to home" is because, as far as it was concerned, it already was home? Remember, home as far as it is concerned is it's launch location, not the location of the controller. If it loses connection with the controller, it has no...

    New Features

Over on the GoPro community forums, there's discussion about new features rumored to be on the way to Karma. Remember: these are rumours based on supposedly leaked info. The Karma Grip will be picking up a joystick to allow better control of tilt. The drone will pick up multi-point cable cam...

"Returning" altitude setting in the mountains

RTH altitude is relative to your launch height (consider that 0m, based on GPS). If you set RTH at, say, 50m, then it will increase altitude to that height (your launch altitude + 50m) if it is flying below that height, or if it is more than 50m above launch height it will return home at its...

"We can confirm that it's not a manufacturing defect and won't be covered under warranty."

I understand that, but the original post made reference to GoPro's statement that they wouldn't cover it under warranty. I was just answering his question, and hopefully shedding some light on what went wrong.
