All I know is GoPro's stock went down, down down and way down.... their shares used to be like $70 and now it is sitting around $6 a share. Big GoPro fan boy over here, but they are not in a good position, I hope they can rebuild. Maybe I'll buy some shares while they are cheap lol
Yes, but I would hate for something to happen and then when you go to report it to your UAS insurance/FAA and they ask if you had the remote in your hand and were in full control..... answer would be no.
Technically you have to be holding in and in control of the drone via the FAA rules.... So it's not like you can throw it in a backpack and be on your way. I see where you are coming from and I wish they had something where you can be hands free with the control in fast reach... I guess we will see!
Should always be 400ft AGL... but if I am in a very open area with no known manned aircraft activities I will go to 500-600ft to get the shots I need. I am also Part 107 and insured ;)
I'm sorry to hear that... I have a brand new Karma with Hero 6 and I have about 20 flights and my belt with it with no problems. Most common thing I see when calibrating the compass is people not doing it right, I wasn't even doing it right the first couple of times. The calibration system is...
There is a distance limiter and an altitude limiter, this can all be turned off in the settings.... but I agree flying without GPS is no fun, but if that is the only choice you have fly cautiously!
New UAS pilot and just recently Part 107 FAA certified pilot... excited to get started commercially with my GoPro Karma with HERO 6. Based out of Lake Tahoe/Reno, Nevada doing Real Estate photo/video and possibly some surveying gigs. Cheers!
