    Rotor Flytime Comparison Study

Aftermarket rotors or stock rotors? Which last longer? That question has now been answered in a comparative study. White aftermarket rotors do actually last longer. I ran a carefully controlled study of both rotors and timed flight time. Timer was started at the third rotor spinup at launch, and...

How many charge cycles on a battery?

Good tips to keep the batteries in tip-top condition, thanks! I haven't heard any horror stories about exploding, leaking or puffy batteries, so that's good. I wonder if I'll need to drop a Franklin on a new battery about every 250 flights? I figure if a cell phone is good for about 500 charges...

    Greetings From Washington

Thanks, James. It looks like a crane shot. I shot some video in Alaska this weekend and couldn't believe how rock-solid the footage is. How many charge cycles on a battery?

Karma Hero 6 for Close-Up Inspections??

Set your Hero 6 to Linear, zoom the camera in, and fly farther away. Karma likes to drift. Not sure if the camera on the DJI Phantom 4 can zoom. Flying close to anything with a Karma can be dicy.

    Greetings From Washington

Hello from Tacoma, Washington. Despite my name BadKarma, I actually like the thing. The GoPro Karma is moody and has a mind of its own. It'll smash its rotors just to say, "Don't tell me what to do." It's the Goth of drones.
